Hi Friends, Iwas fortunate enough to travel to
Europe in May and June of this year to visit my
SSaavviittaa && DDaadd,, BBeerrlliinn daughter, Savita, who is in her last year of grad school in Berlin, Germany. I also took time to see my aunts who live in Switzerland. I had not been to Berlin since 1985 before the wall came down

I ended my three weeks in Europe with a visit to Switzerland to see two of my
FFoouurr SSiibblliinnggss TTeeuuffeellssbbeerrgg 11 when I was 15 years old living there for three months. Being in Berlin in late May was wonderful. The locals were out in force after a long winter.
mom’s sisters, who live there. Their two other siblings came out as well. I was lucky enough to spend time with my
SSoovviieett WWaarr MMeemmoorriiaall ((TTrreeppttoowweerr PPaarrkk)) EEnnttrraannccee mom’s four remaining siblings and my Uncle Gary Matkin. The last time we were all there together was in September 2021 with my mom and her brother Rohit, neither of whom is with us anymore.

I am including some pictures from my trip, including interesting places in Berlin. The Soviet War Memorial (Treptower Park) and Teufelsberg, a former U.S. spy station now turned into a street art exhibition of over 400 works that sits atop a 115-ft hill made of rubble from the bombing of Berlin at the end of World War II.
